PhD Alumnus Eaton Describes Her Advisor's Positive Influence

In a recent interview for Live Science, Computer Science PhD alumnus Dr. Cyntrica Eaton ('07) taks about how the advice she received during her PhD from her advisor shaped her thinking both during her studies and now as she advises her own students. She notes that the advice helped her to stay focused to finish her PhD as well as helped her mature as a researcher.

Cyntrica Eaton is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Norfolk State University in Virginia. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland in 2007. Her PhD advisor was Atif Memon.
